Moreton Bay figs

Him indoors suggested I paint Australian flora rather than imported.... So to begin with here are a couple of fig pics.

Don't know what sort of figs they are (any suggestions welcome please), and I've taken a bit of artistic license with the fruit colours. Have noticed fig fruits turn a luscious purple from orange from yellow from green.

But of course by then the bats have usually gotten them or they will have dropped - they won't be on the tree.

Gabby Malpas exhibition - online

To all of you who wanted to come to the opening last night:
I couldn't get you to the exhibition but I can bring the exhibition to you.

So get a glass of booze, put your feet up, relax and enjoy the show.

It's warmer this way as well!

Have a lovely weekend all

Above is one of the smallest pictures in the show: 'sozzled sprats'

Gabby Malpas exhibition - Cancelled

Bah humbug...

I hung the pictures today. Twice. The cafe owner was being evicted so the show is cancelled and I brought all my pictures home bar one which smashed on the floor due to a dodgy nail.

So of course I'm absolutely gutted about this but no-one died and it could have been worse if I'd have had the pictures in the place when the locks were being changed.

I'll post images of the pictures soon - some of them I really like!

Have a lovely weekend all and thanks for your support. Tonight I will raise a glass.

wedding pictures

I came across these images while getting pictures together to submit to a gallery...
Him indoors took photos of paintings then printed them out large size to put on the walls for our wedding reception. They turned out to be a hit and were torn down by guests as soon I said 'please help yourself to pictures'.
