hammered silver hoop and bead dangly earrings
Now I have control over the thickness and size of hoops instead of having to buy them in a uniform and certain size. I can make hoops to suit beads I have rather than try and match beads to hoops I've bought.
These are a little more delicate - I'm using wire to make the hoops and then hammer them into a slightly off-kilter circle.
All together now....

beaten silver, amber and turquoise earrings
I finished my basic silver-smithing course and am already thinking about designs and new ideas. I'm thinking of ways to combine the bead and wire work I do with hammered and soldered pieces.
OK, so these are pretty labour intensive but heck, they're worth it!
Turquoise from Chatuchak market, Bangkok, antique faceted baltic amber from Bermondsey antique (thieves) market, London.
Gemstone properties:
For happiness, friendship and positive energy.
To promote self-confidence.

vintage silver filigree and crystal drop earrings
Vintage silver filigree beads (was part of an antique necklace found in a Spanish flea market some years ago), blue quartz drops, Indian faceted amethysts and Swarovski crystals.
I'm starting the process of rediscovering old treasures and making them into something new...
Gemstone properties:
To promote calm, balance, intuition and wisdom.
For self confidence.

all about chandeliers
Earrings like these require no other jewellery to make a statement.
So what next? I put them on etsy.

dangly bridal earrings
I thought these were quite bridal: delicate pearl and gemstone drops - not quite chandelier bling but with Swarovski crystals to give a little bit of understated sparkle. The oblong shaped 'biwa' pearls are a little unusual.
Something slightly different to the usual rhinestone and pearl numbers you see everywhere ....
I've put them on the website.

earrings for a Tuesday
I've been so caught up in the whole Christmas palava I haven't had time to post.
Apologies.
Here is a selection of dangly earrings to counterbalance those festive numbers I've seen dangling from ears at office parties.... I like to call them 'chandeliers for the ears'.

Rose quartz, labradorite, swarovski crystal and amethyst: To enhance wisdom, intuition and truthfulness. For happiness in love.
Turquoise nuggets and coral: To cool tempers and promote friendship.
Amethyst and clear quartz: To promote wisdom, intuition and truthfulness. For balance.
Vintage crystal, amethyst, garnet & cloisonne beads: To increase self confidence, promote wisdom and truthfulness. For luck.

And I'm very proud of these: Indian silver 'tassel' earring fixtures (from Hyderabad), rose quartz, amethyst and swarovski crystal: To promote wisdom, intuition and happiness in love.
Apologies.
